CARDO SCALA 500 MANUAL PDF

Manual zz. Our long time readers know we have devoted large sections of some issues to especially valuable events, such as Showstoppers. Last Fall we started devoting a Special Edition dealing exclusively with Showstoppers. Their event held in January during the Consumer Electronics Show was so exceptional we felt it deserved a Special Edition again.

Sold and Shipped by Newegg. Stylish, lightweight, and loaded with features, the Cardo scala Bluetooh headset has everything you need for hands-free communication. Cardo's SWAP technology lets you pair the headset with two different phones and switch between them with the push of a button.

The device's six-level volume range, speaker booster and echo-cancellation technology further enhance the headset's audio quality. You also get options like voice dial and re-dial, call waiting, conference calling, and call reject. Always worried about running out of battery life?

With a press of a button, the scala's LEDs instantly display whether it's fully charged blue , half charged blue and red or in immediate need for recharging red. And if you're prone to misplacing your headset, you'll like its built-in buzzing locator. Press a button on your phone and the headset gives out a series of audible tones. A single charge for two to three hours via USB or travel wall charger gets you up to 10 continuous hours of talk time and hours of standby time.

Pros: Cheap. Gets the job done in a basic sense. Button scheme is straightforward and intuitive. Nothing sticking into your ear is better for comfort. Cons: In the presence of background noise driving, loud street , does very poorly. The fact that it doesn't stick in your ear means it's hard to hear people speaking softly.

Difficult to adjust to get the right comfortability. Degrades to garbage after you move 5 feet away. Overall Review: If you're an occasional user and looking for something basic and don't expect much from it, this is for you. However, this performs poorly in any "stressful" background noise, more than 5 feet, rough user, etc conditions. Get something better, and save yourself the frustration.

Indeed you get what you paid for. Pros: This headset is lightweight and comfortable to wear. The battery life is excellent. I have had no complaints for "drop-out" even while in the high noise server room I am in.

The ability to switch between phones is great since I have my own and one for the office. Volume has excellent quality. Overall Review: This headset is better than both of the Motorola's I previously owned both in comfort and quality.

Cons: Microphone lets in lots of ambient noise; forget talking outside or in a car, it sounds like a wind tunnel. Poor quality connectivity with device. Overall Review: I quit using it because everyone complained about the sound, too much background noice or a really poor connection with the device, a Palm p. I am really disappointed by this product.

Pros: The headset is small and lightweight. After adjusting it to your ear it fits nice and tug. Low cost as always. Seems duriable and has long battery life. Cons: Picks up lots of backround noise. If outside the wind can cause havock to the person on the other end of the call. Overall Review: If you use indoors or in car it work great, but if your outside alot or in a noisy place it makes it difficult to be heard. Pros: This has excelent pickup people can hear me in noisy areas I have talked in my diesel dump truck where the noise level is loud and people can hear me and you have to yell at the passenger.

Cons: it is cheaply made the buttons rattle I put a piece of clear shipping tape over the face. Overall Review: the case quality is not as good as the but the electronics are better the light off function is great and battery level check and usb charge. Pros: Light weight Good range Noise cancellation Good battery life Good audio quality and loudness Buzzing sound for search. Overall Review: I decided on this set after my good experience with the Scala Unfortunately, I accidentally drove over it so I was hoping the Scala would be the Scala only better.

In some respects it is. It's smaller and lighter, and provides a locate feature which I got to use after I lost it in a large open field. The blue tooth connection helped narrow my search, but that still left 60 or so sqft to comb. The audible buzz, though not very loud, made it easier to find. My main quibble with the set is comfort, it's about half the size of the , that's good but the ear piece doesn't quite fit the same way.

The ear hook is thinner and not as soft. The unit itself is hard plastic, vs the which had a partial rubber layer that I now miss. Also the button doesn't inspire the feeling of good build quality, it rattles and has an uneven press. Overall its a good product. Pros: Good sound quality, fairly inexpensive, comfortable, good battery life. Cons: ear hook will break on you even if you are careful. Pros: Very lightweight. Easy to pair. Relatively simple operation.

Excellent sound and volume control. Cons: Swapping function is not foolproof; does not always work perfectly. Lots of advanced functionality that is hard to use with out instructions or constant use. Have had complaints that microphone is TOO sensitive. The following guidelines apply to all product categories unless otherwise indicated within specific categories. Back To Combo.
