This is a wonderful book by an Author which I did not know until I bought this book! Now I really would LOVE to get all her other books, because she writes amazingly well and the historic side of her romance also appealed a lot to me.

Beautiful, historical, poetical, with larger than life characters and no excess of easiness but rather a serious, albeit touching book. Maria Carmo, Lisbon, 4 April Technically, there's nothing wrong with this book, but it just didn't engage me the way I hoped it would.
I adore historical fiction and stories that involve books or bookshops, so maybe my expectations were too high, but that's just how I felt. I might re-read it one day and perhaps I will enjoy it more then.
El tiempo cuando era nuestro It is slow pace not engaging book. I could easily put this book down and forgot about it. I liked that it quotes the names of other good books to read. Of course this book has nothing to do with these authors, but still, Marian gives us her best emotions at the turn of every sentence.
And that IS priceless. Now going for a Passage to India It started slow, probably because this isn't the genre I usually read and the main character is much older than me and I couldn't really connect at first, but then it started to get interesting and I really liked it.
