Or build your own 5V power supply with an Sorry, I don't know. There are too many possibilities. For me, about 1 in 10 clones from Ebay needs a repair or gets broken for no reason. What kind of battery did you use? A car battery? Perhaps the current peak when connecting the battery was too much for the capacitors. Or there was a spark of V or more that damaged the AMC Was it an unregulated adapter? Some of those have an output voltage of 18V.
Or was it an AC adapter? I hope you don't smoke the next Arduino board with the adapter. I prefer a switching adapter with selectable voltages, and I select 7.
