Janome Decor Excel II has been discontinued. I have had my Janome Excel for several years, but still don't use it fully, not sure how to adjust to make the zigzag stitches So I decided to buy a new machine for around the same cost. Overall, I liked the Janome although never tried to use most of the other foots that came with it. I find the Manuals not very helpful, only tells of basic info but not the problem solving. I am having the exact same problems with this same machine after about the same amount of time owning it!
